Phase one of the community conversation on the future of Eccles Town Centre, a partnership between Salford City Council and Muse, came to a close last month. Over the conversation period, local residents, businesses, community groups and organisations shared their views on how Eccles can grow, evolve and re-establish itself as a vibrant centre once again.
Your feedback is now being reviewed in detail and will play a central role in shaping the emerging masterplan, which will be shared as part of the next stage of the community conversation.
The conversation received 395 pieces of feedback, with over 275 people attending in-person events. This strong response is hugely positive and reflects the enthusiasm people have shown in shaping the future of Eccles.
We would like to thank everyone who got involved. Your ideas, suggestions and comments are helping us understand what people want to see change and what will make Eccles a more welcoming, active and thriving town centre.
Following the success of phase one of the community conversation, Councillor Mike McCusker, Lead Member for Planning, Transport and Sustainable Development at Salford City Council, said:
Alex Vogel, Senior Development Manager at Muse, added:
